on my heart.

There’s been a lot on my heart lately. And yes, I used the word heart instead of mind intentionally. There’s always a lot on my mind. But it’s different when it’s on the heart. I know when it gets to the heart because I can’t shake it and it even finds it’s way into my prayer life. So when I “have a lot on my heart” it’s a rare thing.

It’s been mostly people on my heart. Old friends who I haven’t seen in a long time. My cadre girls. My family. I’ve been feeling the burden (a good kind of burden) for people.

The other thing on my heart is the nations. I’ve been feeling a push to pray for the nations more than I have before. I’ve also realized that I haven’t been paying attention to world news like I used to…and I need to fix that. Like I said last week, Mondays here at Brilliantly Redeemed are going to be focused on the nations and prayer points for the upcoming week. Every week I will be posting a list of 4 different nations that I’m currently praying for. And my hope with posting it here is that some of you will join me in praying for the nations.

So here we go. The first nations I’m praying for in 2009 are:

  • Costa Rica
  • Ethiopia
  • Finland
  • Kyrgyzstan

If you’re wondering how I picked these 4…it was completely random. I’ll try to be more strategic next time. Below are information cards about each of the countries.

costa rica.   ethiopia.   finland.   kyrgyzstan.

What’s been on your heart lately?

  1. Some of the countries are considered third world and some are not. I think it was a nice mix. I thought it seems those in Costa Rica might need to pray for those of US( United States). From looking at the stats we seem more alike than different. The birth rate could improve in all countries and the number of AIDS/HIV could decrease. Unemployment is a concern for everyone. God bless you increasing awareness and being a bold and loving christian in time when Christianity is not under attack.
