Like I’ve said before plans sure change fast around here.
As of Wednesday, I’m no longer going to Thailand.
sigh.
No, the trip wasn’t cancelled this time. It’s a really long story, but what it boils down to is that it just wasn’t the right timing.
Oh goodness. I’ve just had to keep reminding myself these past few days that God knows what He’s doing. And sometime, at the right time, I’ll get the chance to go to Thailand (and Indonesia).
As for now, I’m still planning to spend 2 months in South Africathis summer and I’ll be back in Washington DC in April for another intern trip. Yeah, I’ll admit, this whole situation has been frustrating. First Cambodia gets cancelled, and then Indonesia, and now things aren’t working out with Thailand. Oye. But like I said, He knows. And I can stand on that and find my heart at rest in that.
In all honesty, I’m finding myself completely content with all of this. And I’ll just stay and wait for the right timing. No matter how long it may take.
that’s a real bummer dude! i was excited to hear about it. but you are right that God knows what He’s doing. i can’t wait to see what He has planned for you now! i’m sure it’ll be clear… but maybe not. can’t wait to see you out here though!!
